Rev. Lloyd Martin of Crawford assisted by Rev. Laddie Adams, Cheyenne, officiated at the sermon. Born August 14, 1888 at Alamosa, Colorado, Mr. Thompson came to western Oklahoma in 1900 from Jack county, Texas. He was married to Trula Mae Brown at Vernon, Texas in 1913. He was a member of the Baptist church and was faithful to his church as long as his health permitted. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Orren Calvin, Cheyenne; one brother, Otis of Cheyenne; three sisters, Mrs. Guy Kendall, Cheyenne; Mrs. Rhett Jones, Craawford; and Mrs. Fred McClellan, Mountain View, Missouri; one half-sister, Mrs. Lida Leddy of Strong City. Committal was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
