"Dude" Thomas Services for Riley M. "Dude" Thomas, 72, retired Hammon farmer, was held Friday, 2:00 p.m. in the Methodist church in Hammon with Rev. Garlin Wilson, Rev. James Sanders and Rev. Richard Walker officiating. Born July 21, 1888 in Stephens County, Texas. Mr. Thomas died Wednesday April 5, 1961 at his home in Hammon. A long time resident he came to Greer county in 1892 and to Roger Mills county in 1895 where he had lived since. He lived in Hammon the past two years and was a member of the Methodist church. Mr. Thomas and the former Estella Linville were married October 5, 1907 in Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Elwyn Thomas, Amarillo, and Hershel Thomas, Hammon, three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Barnes, Carpenter, Mrs. Tom Pinkston and Juanita Thomas, both of Hammon,a sister, Mrs. Alameda Dykes, Hammon; three brothers, Joe Thomas, Tucumcari, N.M.; W.I. and Harland Thomas both of Strong City. Burial was in the Red Hill cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
