A Riverside native, he lived in the Yuba-Sutter area 45 years. He was a retired foreman for Howard's Furniture Co. He is survived by his wife, Rovina June Tinkle of Olivehurst; four sons, Thomas Oliver of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, James L. Oliver of Olivehurst, Robert Tinkle Jr. of San Pedro and Mark Qualls of Marysville; four daughters, Lisa Holland and Betty A. Tinkle, both of Olivehurst, Terry Tinkle of Yuba City and Roberta J. Tinkle of Marysville, two sisters, Myrna L. Craig and Sharon G. Parker, both of Marysville; his mother, Mary D. Parker of Marysville, and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 1984 y a sister, Shirley Jean Hill. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Ellis Lake near the ballpark with the Rev. Gary Whiteley of New Life Assembly officiating.
