Tracy departed this life last Saturday afternoon in Oklahoma City. Judge Tracy had been in poor health for a number of years and his death was not unexpected. E.E. Tracy was born at Cedar Creek Landing, Tennessee August 8, 1865, was married to Flora Young, August 14, 1890. He moved from Tennessee to Clarendon, Texas where he lived until the opening of the C. & A. country in Oklahoma in 1892, when he removed to Roger Mills County and homesteaded a claim in Snakey Bend community near the present town of Strong City. He was the first County Superintendent and served as County Judge for many years. About five years ago he and Mrs. Tracy removed to Oklahoma City where they made their home. Mrs. Tracy passed away. Since that time he has made his home with his children. He leaves to mourn his death five children, Henry of Binger, Oklahoma, Chester N. of California; Eddie B. of Cleveland; Mrs. Martin Reaves of Gallup, New Mexico; Mrs. Bryan Whitworth of Oklahoma City. He also leaves three brothers and two sisters; Dan Tracy of Sayre, James N. Tracy of Memphis, Tennessee; J.B. Tracy of Cheyenne; Mrs. Martha Koffman of Lexington, Tennessee; and Mrs. Dave Carey of Pampa, Texas. Funeral services were conducted at Hahn's Funeral Home at Oklahoma City. His remains were laid to rest by the side of hisw wife in the Rose Hill cedmetery with the Masonic rites. Those attending the funeral from Cheyenne were John B. Tracy, Mrs. W.E. Moore, Rev. J.H. Bradley, O.R. Prestridge, Elbert Tracy and Raymond Tunnard.
