She went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on September 23, 2000. Geri graduated as valedictorian from high school and attended one year of college at Pasadena Nazarene College before marrying John Raymond Trimbel on january 1, 1941. She then dedicated herself to being the best wife, mother, grandmother, friend and confidant a person could have. She followed her husband from job-site to job- site in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico with little complaint and then to Las Vegas, Nevada and at last made their home in Pioche, Nevada. Three years after he husband went to be with the Lord, she moved to her daughter Vicki's home in Greely, Colorado. She was constantly involved in charities; both organized and in helping individuals whom she found were in need. She was at various times in her life first, a member of the Church of the Nazarene, then Baptist, and Episcopalian Churches. She played the piano for many services, both in churches she attended and in those who had no one else available to play. She was a Rebecca while she lived in Pioche, Nevada. When her daughters and son were of an age to participate, she either led or assisted with Bluebirds, Campfire Girls, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Geri's husband, her parents; two brothers, two sisters; and one grandson preceded her in death. Hoping to rejoin her in the future are three daughters and sons-in- law, Geraldine Esther and Darrell Huling, Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Alexis Raymonde and Thure johnson, and Victoria Elizabeth and Jerry Raehal; one son and daughter-in-law, John William and Janet Trimble; three granddaughters, Joan Eve and Angela Beth Trimble; and Marianne Hope Heitman; eleven grandsons, Eldean, Donald, Robert and Erick Huling, Larry and Gary Blanton, and Jerry Johnson, John Michael, Franklin and Jerry Raehal, and John Copen Trimble; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, Kelton Charles Beck; two sisters, Joan Casto and Winnie Lee Dority; and one brother, Gerald Otto Smith, Jr.; along with a host of other relatives and friends. She will be much missed, as everyone whose life she touched remembers her sweet, gentle and loving spirit. She was an encourager, as she urged all to be at their best and to keep pushing on to higher goals than they could have accomplished without her persistent gently nudging. Indeed she fulfilled Proverbs 31 "And her children rise up and call her blessed....Many daughters have done well but you excel them all." Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
