Mrs. E. G. Thurmond, an early day resident of Cheyenne, died at her home 
in Elk City on last Thursday December 30, 1943 at the age of 97 years.  
Burial was in Elk City Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. E.G. Thurmond was the mother of E.K. Thurmond of Calfornia, I.C. 
Thurmond of Amarillo, Texas, Oscar Thurmond of Clinton, Oklahoma, A.L. 
Thurmond and J.P. Thurmond of Elk City, and Mrs. Florence Gannaway of 
Clinton, Oklahoma.

Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Males and John C. Casady of Cheyenne attended the 
funeral of Mrs. Thurmond.
