He came to Texas with his parents in 1908 and lived here until he married Marguerite Johnanna Peterson in December, 1910, at which time he settled on a farm east of old Rankin. He resided there until three years ago when they resided for a short time in Chicago, returning in October, 1945, and settled in Reydon where he passsed away September 14, 1946 at the age of 56 years, 3 months and 5 days. His mother passsed away when he was very young and his father married Mrs. Maggie Crockett. His father preceded him in death, by 11 months and 1 day. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Marguerite Vincent and four daughters, Mrs. Pansy Hardin and Mrs Agnes Reed both of Chichago; Mrs. Cora Lebu of Greensburg, Kansas; and Mrs. Marguerite King of Sulphur, Oklahoma; also two grandchildren, Donald, son of Mrs. Reed, and Marlyn, daughter of Mrs. Hardin. Also three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Rickert of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Mrs. Nettie Boggs of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Mary Rickert of Booneville, Missouri; and a brother, Robert Vincent of Reydon, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends. At one time he was an active member of the I.O.O.F. and M.W.A. lodges. Recently he was admitted as a member of the First Methodist Church of Reydon. His untimely death prevented him from being one of the outstanding members of that church. Services were conducted in the Community Building of Reydon with Rev. R.O. Stewart officiating and he was laid to rest in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Tunnard Funeral Home.
