Funeral services were held Sunday, July 12, 1970 at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ, Cheyenne, with Raymond Duncan, minister, officiating. Born January 7, 1889 at Chickasha, Mr. Vandine married Goldie Summers, January 31, 1915 at Taylor. He and family moved from Washington to Roger Mills County in 1935 where he resided until death. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are his wife of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Wood, Whittier, California, Mrs. Lucille Hammons, Brawley, California; two sons, Wesley Vandine, Borger, Texas; Carl Vandine, Houston, Texas; three brothers; three sisters; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers were W.R. Krows, Ray Young, Dale Wesner, Alvin Flesher, Harold Taylor, Melvin Summers. Interment was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son Funeral Director in charge of arrangements.
