Weeks, who died early Monday morning, after being ill for some time. Mr. Weeks had been a resident of Roger Mills County for forty- one years, having lived near Strong City and Cheyenne. He was a deputy sheriff at one time under John Parker. The deceased was born at Corsicana, Texas, May 23, 1873. Mr. Weeks homsteaded in this county on North Dead Indian. He was married to Rose Ella Hobison who preceded him in death on December 22, 1929. He is survived by three children, Gene Weeks of Dalhart, Texas; Mrs. Joe Ballard and Miss Sadie Weeks, of Stillwater, Oklahoma and four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Rhett Jones, Mrs. Guy Kendall, Mrs. A.. Leddy of Strong City and Mrs. Fred McClelland of Spearman, Texas, Joe and Otis Thompson, of Strong City. Mr. Weeks was a member of the Baptist Church and a public spirited citizen. More recently had been employed in the State Historical Building at Oklahoma City.
