He moved when a small child to Denton County, Texas, from Illinois. He came with his mother to Roger Mills County in 1905 and lived on a farm north of Reydon until he moved to town in 1929. He was honest, kindly and respected by all, and worked up until the time of his death. He leaves to mourn three sisters: Mrs. Barnabus Young, Bartlesville; Mrs. Mattie Karies, Oklahoma City; and Mrs. R.A. Dyas, Indiahoma; besides nieces and nephews and a host of friends. His nephew, Noel Carbaugh and nice, Mrs. Dobry Rogers of Hobart, took the corpse to Hobart for burial beside his mother. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
