He attended school at Red Mound, Center Chapel and Liberty Center. At an early age Seba began his lifelong occupation of farming and raising livestock. A few years in the early 30's he was involved in road maintenance on Highway 183 in the Cheyenne area where he made many lifelong friends. On November 16, 1940 Seba was married to Eloise Britton and established a home on a farm southwest of Leedey where he continued to live until his death. Seba became a member of the Methodist Church in 1953. He loved his Lord; his family, and friends, and especially enjoyed talking over old times with them. His children and grandchildren like to listen to his stories. Seba enjoyed music and working with horses and cattle. He liked being involved with animals, gardening, and many outdoor activities. Seba was preceded in death by his parentsx, two sisters, Pearl and Mary and one brother, Claudie West. Seba is survived by his beloved wife, Eloise, two sons, Lee West and wife, Judy of Lefors, Texas, Joe West and his wife, Brenda of Leedey; seven grandchildren, Amy Yearwood and husband, Robert of Memphis, Texas; Lisa Gibson and husband Lance of Armington, Minnesota; Jeff West of Guymon, Oklahoma; Jason West and wife, Tracy of Garden City, Kansas; Joe Zane West, Jevon West, and Johnna Jo West of Leedey. His great grandchildren are Brian and Astin Yearwood; Alex and Kyle Gibson and Tyler West. Seba is also survived by one brother, Edwin West of Morris, Oklahoma. Services were held Monday July 7, 1997 at the Leedey First United Methodist Church with burial in the New Hermon cemetery, Leedey, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Shaw Funeral Home, Leedey, Oklahoma.
