Brian Wesner will be conducted at the local cemetery. The Campbell-Cross Post of the American Ledgion will have charge of the burial services with Rev. Don Anderson, pastor of the local Baptist church assisting. The remains of Sgt. Wesner arrived in Sayre Wednesday afternoon where they were met by members of the family, the Scroggins Funeral Home and members of the Campbell-Cross Americaqn legion Post. The remains were accompanied by military escorts and will rest in the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs. John Wesner, who reside west of Cheyenne until Thursday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock when reburial services will be at the gravesite. SGT. BRIAN WESNER Sgt. Brian Wesner was born at Foss, Oklahoma on February 24, 1920. He moved with his parents to Cheyenne in 1932. He attended the local grade school and graduated from the high school in 1938. Later he attended the Oklahoma University at Norman. Brian was inducted into the army on September 30, 1941 and was in continuous service until the time of his death. Sgt. Wesner was killed in an automobile accident at Naney, France on May 27, 1945 at the early age of 25 years. Survivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wesner, three brothers, Donovan Wesner, Dale Wesner and Leon Wesner, and one sister Mrs. David L. Casady, all of Cheyenne. Brian Wesner was converted and joined the Baptist church at the age of twelve years. Brian Wesner as a lad was one who was always employed. He was energetic, capable, honest and upright. He was an active member of the Cheyenne Boy Scout Troop, and was an outstanding athletic during his high school days. BUDDY FROM ILLINOIS HERE FOR SGT. BRIAN WESNER SERVICES. Martin D. Roth and wife will arrive in Cheyenne Thursday to be present at the re-burial services for Sgt. Brian Wesner. Martin served with Wesner in the army for three years and was in France at the time Sgt. Wesner was killed. Mr. and Mrs. John Wesner of Cheyenne, parents of Sgt. Wesner visited the Roth's in 1946.
