Neal passed away March 10, 2003 in Butler, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years 4 months and 3 days. He graduated from Butler High School in 1958. He also attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. On une 24, 1961, he was married to Dorthy Graham. Four children were born to this union. Neal was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for 37 years. During this timre, he worked in several locations including Fairview, Hobart, Mangum, Norman, Clinton and Elk City. He retired February 23, 2000 while living in Butler, Oklahoma. Neal accepted the Lord as his perdsonal Savior and was at First Baptist Church, Butler, Oklahoma, he was ordained deacon and served as Sunday School teacher for many years. At the time of his death, he was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church in Hammon, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father; father-in-law, Claude Graham, and brother-in-law, Earl Graham. Services were held Saturday March 15, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Hammon First Baptist Church, officiated by Stanley Baker, Aubrey VCowan and Alvin Funkhouser. Burial was at the Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Baptist Home for Children or the First Baptist Church in Hammon. Survivors include: Dorthy Whittington of the home; 1 daughter, Melissa and husband Justin Parker of Butler, Oklahoma; 3 sons, Marcus and wife Betty Whittington of Leedey, Oklahoma, Mitchell and wife Cynthia Whittington of Cochraine, Alberta, Canada, Micah and wife Andrea Whittington of Arapaho, Oklahoma; mother, Velma Whiteton of Elk City, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Leon and wife Marlene of Custer City, Oklahoma, 12 grandchildren, Cassandra Coltan, Cayla Whittington of Leedey, Oklahoma, Caleb Charity, Charissza, Chandra Whittington of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada, Culten, Broyon, Peyton Parker of Butler, Oklahoma, Rhett, Rhyden Whittington of Arapaho, Oklahoma; mother-in-law Marie Graham of Fos Lake Estates, Foss, Oklahoma, numerous other relatives and friends.
