The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ===================================================================== Mr. Austin Norton "Tony" Widener, 78, retired Lab Tech at the Phillips Petroleum Company, died at 8:07 p.m. Friday in the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Austin North "Tony" Widener was born September 10, 1923 at Durham, Oklahoma the son of Tony Franklin and Zelpha Arminda North Widener. He was raised at Durham and served in the U.S. Army during World War Two. He was discharged in June of 1946. He married Zelma Ella Sadler on November 10, 1950 at Tucumcari, New Mexico. He worked for the Phillips Petroluem Company as a Lab Tech in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma retiring in 1985. Tony is survived by his wife Zelma Ella Widener and one son Austin L. Widener and his wife Marie and one daughter Vickie Lockman and her husband Richard all of Bartlesville, one brother Norman Widener of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, one sister Myrtle Ray of Nampa, Idaho, three grandsons Coy LeMond, DeWayne Lockman and Kevin Widener and one granddaughter Amy Widener. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ross Atkins officiating. A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association, ATTN: Sandy Bereson, 6600 S. Yale, Suite 1310, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136-3346 for those who wish to donate in Mr. Widener's memory.
