Widener, 72, of Hemet, California who passed away recently at a convalescent hospital were conducted on Friday at McWane Family Funeral Home. The Rev. John Davis and William Holcomb of Hemet Assembly of God Church officiated. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Whittier, California. Mr. Widener was born January 4, 1910 in Durham, Oklahoma. He had lived in California 45 years and in Hemet the past nine. Survivors include his wife, Leola; four daughters, Carol Sweeden of Grass Valley; Debbie Vanettes of Huntington Beach; Pamela Offenstein of West Covina; and Shirley Chubko of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Tony of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and Norman of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two sisters, Helen Watson of Cheyenne; and Myrtle Ray of Napa, Idaho; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Those attending the services for hugh Widener from Oklahoma were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Widener, Mrs. Helen Watson and Hardy Lowe Clay of Cheyenne; Mrs. Arthur Logan of Sayre; and Mr. Austin Widener of Bartlesville.
