I in his early life he moved to Illinois, where he met Ellen Van Hook who later became his beloved wife. To this union eight children were born, four daughters and four sons. His wife, Mrs. Ellen Woodward, departed this life October 15, 1921, at Joplin, Missouri. Afte her death William Woodward came to Oklahoma to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. Charlie Raff, of Crawford, until his death, February 24, 1940. He was baptized into the Adventist Church December 24, 1906 by Brother Summerville. He leaves to mourn his death one brother, Anson Woodward, of Marci, Michigan; two daughters Mrs. Neson ___(not legable) Canada and Mrs. Charlie Raff of Crawford, Oklahoma; twenty-four grandchildren and a host of friends. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma wih Mrs. Alma M. Hatchet, officiating. Tunnard's Funeral Home was in charge of the interment.
