Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Bruce Wayne Woolf was born September 8, 1932 at Cordell to Oscar and Cledia Head Woolf and died Tuesday October 29, 2002 at the age of 70. Bruce attended Mt. Pleasent Schools until the fourth grade and then graduated from Dill City High School in 1950 and worked in the oil filed after graduation. Bruce was married to Patricia Lewis on December 12, 1952 at Dill City, Oklahoma, in January 1953 he served his country in the United States Army and spent 18 months in Germany. When discharged in 1955 he worked for the City of Cordell for a short while and in 1958 started his career with the Public Serivce Company of Oklahoma at Sayre. Bruce also worked for PSO in Snyder, Altus, and Hobart before moving to Hammon where they resided from 1967 to 1997 then moved to Elk City where they have lived since. He retired after 35 years on January 1, 1992. Bruce was a member of the Hammon American Legion, Hammon Fire Department and a Master Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Celdia Woolf; in- law, Slim and Opal Lewis; brothers-in-law, Bob Stevenson and Frank Spradin. Survivors include his wife, Pat Woolf of the Elk City home; four daughters, Jerri Hutchinson and husband Mark of Elk City, Rhonda Wishire and husband Jim of Amarillo, Texas, Carol Keevert and husband Karl of Elk City, Linda Skelton and husband Derrick of Elk City, one brother, Clyde Woolf and wife Peggy of Moorland, one sister, Olene Spradin of Dill City; one sister-in-law, Karen Stevenson of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; one great grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
