Clayton Hughes delivering the sermon. Committal will be in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins of this city. Mr. Wells passed away suddenly early Tuesday morning May 23, 1961 from a heart attack, after having suffered from a heart ailment for several years. He was born January 24, 1904. Immediate survivors are his wife, Hortense, of the home a daughter and grandson, Billye Lee Evans and Loyd Lee, Amarillo, his mother, Mrs. Victoria Wells, Clinton, a sister, Mrs. H.V. Brooks, also of Clinton another sister, Mrs. Olan Bowman of Butler. Lee Wells, one of the most highly respected business men of this city came here from Strong City and has been manager of the A.L. West Lumber Company here since 1937. He was a member of the Methodist church, a past president of the Kiwanis Club, and past member of the Town Board and a mason. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
