James Fredrick (Jimmy) Wilkerson, 77, of Norman, expired Thursday, March 22, 1990 in Norman. Rev. Wilkerson was born January 6, 1913 in Norman and was a member of Slaughterville Baptist Church. He was born to George and Cora Wilkerson, married Nellie Dufran in Blanchard on July 4, 1933. They had celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1983. He was ordained as a Baptist Minister on December 24, 1939, and attended SW Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He recently celebrated 50 years in gospel ministry. He pastored over Oklahoma most of the 50 years. Services were at 10:00 Monday, March 26, 1990 at Primrose Chapel, Norman, Oklahoma. Rev. Anson Justice and Rev. Oran Lee officiated. Interment was in Nobel I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Noble, Oklahoma under the direction of Primrose Funeral Services, Norman, Oklahoma. Survivors include: wife Nellie of the home in Norman, one son George W. Wilkerson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and three daughters, Nelda Blackwell of Bentenville, Arkansas, Ruth Parker of Phoenix, Arizona, and Nancy Buss of Dallas, Pennsylvania. Two sisters Barbara Horn of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Vera Henscheid of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
