Walker Funeral services were conducted Tuesday January 16, 1962 for R.C. Walker who resided in this county for a number of years. Rev. Laddie Adams and Kent Ellis had charge of the services in the Baptist church. Burial was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins and Son. He died in Kansas City, January 12, 1962 where he had resided for the past two years, at the age of 87 years. Robert Clint Walker was born in Osage County, Missouri and lived in Cheyenne, Oklahoma for 40 years before moving to Kansas City. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Cheyenne. He leaves five daughters, Mrs. Estelle Hoagland of the home, Mrs. Mabel Pierson of Berkley, California; Mrs. Jene Cornett of Lawndale, California; Mrs. Montez Harris of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Mrs. Nettie Mae Clem of Altez, Thomas Walker, Craig, Colorado; Robert O. Walker, San Gabriel, California and Leon P. Walker of 2707 South 39th, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Allen and Mrs. Ocie Workman both of Stroud, Oklahoma; two brothers, Morgan Walker, Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Arden Walker of Flagstaff, Arizona, 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
