He departed this life November 30, 1997 at the Veteran's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 78 years. Guy grew up on West Croton Creek in Roger Mills County and graduated from Reydon High School in 1939. He married Glennie Davis in June, 1939 and to this union was born one daughter, Karen. He served in the Army Infantry during World War II. During a tour of duty in Japan, he met Raymond McNeil, who was serving with another Infantry Unit. It was so good for both of them to see someone from home. Guy oftern related this event. Guy was a member of the Hobart Church of Christ. He married Pauline Wheeler in 1962 and they resided in Minco, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Loyd, one sister, Oleta Waldrop Sanders, three half-sisters, Eula, Myrtle and Louella and two half-brothers. He is survived by his wife of the home, his daughter, Karen and husband of College Station, Texas, two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Memorial services were conducted by Doyle Harris on December 2, 1997 at the Peoples Funeral Chapel in Lone Wolfe, Oklahoma. Interment was in Poarch Cemetery, at Carter, Oklahoma. Attending the services from this area were Lester and Clara David, Dessie Davis Burks, Glennie Davis Ellis, Jim Millar, Auba Pennington, K. Zoe Roy and Helen Nabors Smith.
