Tommy Turner, officiating. Graveside Services followed at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas. Homer was born January 10, 1916 in Okemah, Oklahoma and died in Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday, February 12, 1995. Homer was raised and attended school in Roger Mills County. He married Lawana Ross in 1940 in Elk City, Oklahoma where they made their home. Homer worked in the law enforcement for 10 years in Roger Mills and Beckham County. In 1960 he married Dorothy Atchley in Taloga, Oklahoma. While living in Thomas he drove a truck, and later in 1973 he became a contract pumper until the time of his death. Homer was a member of the Odd Fellow Club. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Williams of Thomas, Oklahoma; 3 daughters, Wandean Maddox and husband Bill of Norman, Oklahoma, Jo Rita Gholston of Elk City, Oklahom a, Michalle Richardson of the home; 1 son Emery Richardson, of the home; 4 step daughters, Kathy Scheidemantel and her husband Steve of Duncan, Oklahoma, Donna Sue Mediana and her husband Mike of Elk City, Oklahoma, Barbara McGaha and her husband Jesse of Macomb, Oklahoma; 1 sister Lola Checotah of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 4 sons, Donald David, Ronald, Billy Don, James Michael; one step daughter, Janet Moore, 3 brothers, Jack, Laten and Roy. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
