Lee was born October 8, 1910 in Rankin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma to Ed H. and Lula Garver Williams. Lee's father homesteaded in the Cheyenne and Arapaho land in 1903, at first living in a dugout. Lee married Sophis May Mills on July 4, 1928 at the home of the bride's parents near Rankin. They left Roger Mills County and moved to Guthrie in Logan County in 1935. Lee was a 32 degree Mason, being a member of Masonic Lodge No. 35 in Guthrie. A devoted father of three children, Lee is survived by his wife, Sophia, and children Lela James of Oklahoma City, Dwayne Williams of Edmond, Oklahoma and Geraldine Sander of Idaho Springs, Colorado. He is survived by his sisters and brothers, May Gillispie of Medford, Oregon, Ina Cole of Oklahoma City; Goldie Parks of Mannford, Oklahoma, Zella Biggs of Gurhrie, Vernon Williams of Guthrie and Clarence (Jack) Williams of Perry. Lee has six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson. Services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Smith funeral Home chapel. Followed by a Masonic service and burial in Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
