The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Wheeler, Rich, Walker Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/5170 Ben Wheeler, 80 year-old faither of Mrs. Louise Rich and Dow Wheeler of Canadian, and a former Hemphill county farmer, passed away at his home at Vinita, Oklahoma, January 4, 1963. Mr. Wheeler was born in Missouri on November 2, 1883. He moved to Oklahoma when he was a young man. He was married on January 28, 1908 to Miss Sarah A. Walker, who survives. They moved to Hemhill county in 1926 and Mr. Wheeler farmed here until he moved to Oklahoma in 1936. Besides his wife and his son and daughter of Canadian, Texas, Mr. Wheeler is survived by six other children, two sisters, 22 grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Vinita Monday afternoon. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased. Interment was made in the cemetery at Vinita, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, oK
