Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in Hartley, Texas with the Rev. Bill Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartley Cemetery. All services are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Bessie Bell Hamon Wheeler was born July 20, 1909 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma; hse was the daughter of Esau and Palmira Hamon. She was married to Silas Robert Stinebeck in May of 1927. They made their home in Roger Mills County. He preceded her in death in 1930. In June of 1933, she was married to Robert W. "Doc" Wheeler in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They resided in Reydon, Oklahoma until they moved to Hartley, Texas in 1944. They lived in Hartley until Mr. Wheeler's death in February of 1982. In 1983, she moved to Woodward and on February 4, 1986, she made her home in the Colonial Manor Nursing Center. Survivors include four sons, Robert Dale Stinebeck and wife Edna, Longview, Texas; Jack W. Wheeler and wife, Kathy, Rolla, Mo; Rex D. Wheeler and wife, Theta, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Norris E. Wheeler and wife Margaret, Woodward, Oklahoma; one daughter, Marilyn G. Cavin and husband, Jerry, Colorado Springs, Colorado, twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
