Billie, the daughter of Oscar and Maud Kennedy, was raised in Higgins, Texas and later Crawford, Oklahoma. On August 11, 1970 she married Russell E. Winder in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was a twenty-six year employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone where she worked in Oklahoma City, Fort Worfth, and Dallas, Texas. She was dearly lovedf and admired by her co-workers in each city. Billie was presently serving at the 1991 Art Guild president and was also an active member of the Crawford and Durham Quilting Club, Durham Willing Workers, Crawford Alumini and any "craft fair" where she could display her beautiful handiworks. She has also been a member of the United Methodist Church in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her: mother, 1 sister and 1 brother. She is survived by her husband, Russell of the home; 1 daughter, Susan E. Hammond of Arlington, Texas; 1 son, Robert Hammond, also of Arlington, Texas; her father, Oscar Kennedy of Crawford, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Viola Stout of Shattuck, Oklahoma; Opal Adams of Ridgecrest, California; 3 grandsons, Eric and Clint of Arlington, Texas, Spencer of Clovis, New Mexico; and a host of relatives and friends. The family thanks you for joining them in biding her farewell at the servicesx held at the Unitd Methodist Church of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at 1000 a.m. with Mark Smith officiating.
