Gladys grew up in Leedey and attended Leedey schools until her marriage to Joseph S. (Mutt) Weir on May 17, 1928. The couple established a home in Leedey and were the parents of a daughter, Betty Jo. In 1942 they moved to Knowles and in 1959 they moved to Woodward, Oklahoma. Gladys was a fabric cutter at Trego's Westwear Factory for a number of years. she was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, her daughter, her parents, three brothers, George, Joe and Lloyd Mauldein and two sisters Myrtle Pack and Opal Caleman. Survivors include her son-in-law John Taylor of Tacoma, Washington, two grandsons, Mike and Steve Taylor and five great grandchildren of Tacoma, one sister Annie Nall of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Services were conducted from Garden Chapel, Woodward, Friday, April 8, 1994 with Rev. Bill Meyer officiating. Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery at Woodward under the direction of the Good Samaritan Funeral Home. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
