Ed Sifford and Rev. Fred Fudge officiating. She was born October 17, 1888 at Jackson, Tennessee. On March 7, 1912 she married Avery Word at Jackson, Tennessee. The couple moved to Cheyenne to make their home. She and her husband operated a grocery store and butcher shop for 20 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, Helen Harmon, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers. Survivors are 2 daughters, Mrs. Eli (Sue) Shotwell, Cheyenne; Mrs. Jess (Ruby) Anderson, Boise City. Two sons Avery Word, West Haven, Maine; Ernest Word, Boise City; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Interment was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
