She passed away December 8, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 14 days. Zella attended Five Star School and married Marvin Melton Warren at Strong City, Oklahoma on October 12, 1936. The Warrens made their home in Elk City for 45 years. During that time, Zella worked as a cook in several cafes and restaurants. Zella and Marvin moved to Oklahoma City in 1985 to make their home. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 1 granddaughter. Graveside services were held Monday, December 9, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. in Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. Don Harrold. Burial was under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Services, Elk City, Oklahoma. Survivors include: her son, Carol Warren and wife, Linda of Okemah, Oklahoma; one grandson, Carol Joel Warren of Moore, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; host of relatives and friends.
