Walker's Services Conducted Sunday, April 9 Services for Lewis F. Walker were conducted Sunday April 9 from the Pentecostal church with Rev. Irehe Clark, local pastor officiating. Born May 1, 1887 in Lincoln, Neb., he died in an Elk City hospital April 6 following an illness of three years. He was married to Estella Hamman July 8, 1906. She preceded him in death in 1947. Later he was married to Rannie Mae Dykes January 3, 1948 and was a member of the Pentecostal church. Mr. Walker came to Roger Mills county in 1898 and moved to Hammon eight years ago. Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Letha Higgins of Pomona, Calif.; three sons, Ralph Walker of Hammon; Cleo Walker of Elk City; Herman Walker of Pomona, Calif.; an adopted daughter(sic, Note: not correct, should be foster sister) Myrtle Lee, Pomona, Calif.; a step daughter, Miss Jolene Brooks of the home; two brothers, W. T. Walker, Hammon, and Charlie Walker of Cheyenne; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
