She was married to R.H. Wallace at Clay, Kentucky, February 25, 1875. To this union were born four children, three boys and one girl. Two of the children Willie and Claud died at the ages of two years. In early girlhood she became a member of the Presbyterian Church at old Ashland Church near Clay and in faith, she was a firm believer until her death. She came to Indian Territory with her family in 1879 locating in Velma. A few years later she moved to Custer, Oklahoma living there until 1901 when she with her husband and family moved to a farm near Durham where she lived until her death. She is survived by a husband, R.H. Wallace of Durham, a son Dr. G.H.. Wallace of Holdenville, Oklahoma and a daughter, Mrs. E.E. Fox of Durham also several sisters and bothers who are: Mrs. James Price, Durham; Mrs. H.M. Thomas, Weatherford, Oklahoma; Mrs. W.T. Price, Seminole, Texas; Mrs. J.W. Pendley, Alpine, Texas; T.W. Asher, Quanah, Texas; U.G. Asher, Custer City, Oklahoma; J.C. Asher, Dixon, Kentucky; J. R. Asher, Clay, Kentucky. She was a kind and gentle mother never out of humor with those about her and a real neighbor to her neighbors. Her home was one of the few that dotted the prairie in the pioneer days of this part of Oklahoma and she has a warm place in the heart of a group of middle age people now who constituted the young bunch at that time. How often we played and laughed and enjoyed ourselves in the front room while she was making good things to eat in the kitchen. She had the art of taking even pie melons and making pies that were good, better, best. She has never been strong but never complained. Heaven has been made richer by her passing not only for the family but for a host of friends. She was laid to rest in the Durham Fairview cemetery in the presence of a large crowd after a brief but impressive service at the Methodist Church of Durham, Oklahoma.
