Her parents were Ernest and Estaleela (Kenmore) West. She went to be with the Lord November 26, 2009. At age ten she trusted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour while at a children's camp at Southwest Assembly near Mangum. She was baptized and became a member of First Baptist Church, Reydon. Charlotte graduated from Reydon High School, in 1947. She attended The University of Oklahoma her freshman year and transfered to Oklahoma Baptist University at the beginning of her sophomore year. It was here that she met her future husband, Francis White. They were engaged just before Thanksgiving 1948 and were married at Reydon, Oklahoma Februaary 13, 1949. She had one son, Randle White, born November 9, 1955. Charlotte was the ultimate preacher's wife and faithfully served beside her husband in Baptist churches at Mangum, Brinkman, Sharon, Hollister, Laverne, Lindsey, and Carter Park Del City. She loved little children and always worked in the nursery department at church. While a member at College Heights Baptist Churh she was director of the pre-school department until her health began to fail. At the time of her death she was a member of Arrow Heights Baptist church, Broken Arrow. In 1961 Charlotte was employed as a clerk typist at the Oklahoma Department of Transporation. After several promotions she made history in 1976 by becoming the first female right-of-way agent for the Department. In 1978 shre again made history when she was promoted as the first female supervisor in the right-of-way division. She traveled all over Oklahomaa buying righ-of-way for highwaysw. After 33 years she retired in 1994. Before she married she promised her parents she would get her college degree. She diligently pursued that goal and everywhere she lived she took advantage of nearby colleges and took courses. Finally in 1976 with course work from six different institutions she receiveded her Batchelor of Science degree in Businessss from the University of Science and Arts in Chickasha. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Estalela West. She is survived by her husband Francis White, one son Randle and his wife Celina White, one grandson Patrick White and his financee Beth Cross, one brother Vernal and wife Patsy West, one Uncle Darrell Kenmore and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
