Brother Wilson was born in Upton County, Georgia in 1842. He enlisted in the Confedrate Army early in the war and was in Pewmberion's Corps and saw the fall of Vicksburg. During the war he was wounded in the right arm so as to render that arm useless. Afterr the war he settled down to domestic life. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn for him. Brother Wilson was a member of good stand in the Beulah Baptist Church, a good neighbor, a loyal citizen and a faithful friend. The funeral was preached at home by A.D. Brown at 11 o'clock Thursdasy and the body was taken to the Roll Cemetery (Silent Home) for interment. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
