Sailed from Bermen, Germany on the Vessel, Weimer, and arrived at the port of Baltimore, Maryland on April 21, 1893. After living in various parts of the United States, settled at Dallas, Texas where he met Miss Elizabeth Hage, whom he married February 4, 1903. To this union was born five children, four daughters, Lillian, preceded him in death. The others living now are: Mrs. Pauline Winenger, Reydon; Mrs. Louise Franklin, Grimes; Mrs. Elsie Ward, San Jose, California; and Walter Yost, address unknown. Mr. Yost belonged to the Luthern church in German, and after coming to America he united with the Methodist church. He, with his family came to Roger Mills County in 1919 where he remained until his death, December 15, 1943, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 13 days. During his stay here we found him a loyal citizen and a good neighbor a friend to all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, three daughters, one son, three grand-children and many friends. Funeral services were coinducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Dempsey by Rev. S.F. Lancaster. Interment was in the Dempsey cemetery, Dempsey, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Relatives from a distance were: Fred Hage of Lackney, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Ward of San Jose, California.
