The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Obit for Bessie McCain Young Bessie McCain Young, the daughter of Louis Montgomery McCain and Judith McConnell McCain, was born June 4, 1888 at Salina, Saline County, Kansas and departed this life February 11, 1968 at the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. On March 27, 1911 she was married to Orville A. Young, at Aransas Pass, Texas. To this union, six children were born. The family moved to this county in 1917 and to the Crawford community in 1920 where they have made their home continuously since that time. A member of the Baptist Church, Bessie was a charter member of the Crawford Home Demonstration Club and for the past several years has been an honorary member of that organization. She has lived a dedicated life of service to others. Survivors are her husband, Orville A. Young, of Crawford, one daughter, Mildred Love, Phillips, Texas and three sons, James of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Clair, of oklahoma City, and Willard of Crawford, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also survivros are three sisters, Georgia Parsona and Helen Trout, Bakersfield, California, Marie Hollingsworth, Las Vega, Nevada; one brother, Frank McCain, Woody, California. One daughter and one son preceded her in death, Alice Flue in 1933, and Elmo N. Young in 1946. Interment in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
