The Wynn family moved to Roger Mills County, Oklahoma in 1988 where they engaged in farming and Mrs. Wynn was Postmaster of the Cade Post Office, one of the first in the area. Leta attended the local schools. In 1910 she was married to Howard Eugene Bowman and to the union one son, Douglas was born. After farming a number of years and other occupations the Bowmans moved to Leedey in 1923 where they owned and operated a Tin and Plumbing business and later a Shoe Repair Shop. After a long illness Mr. Bowman preceded her in death in 1956. In 1958, Leta was married to Harry Yeoman of Austin, Texas. They lived in austin until his death in 1970. In 1971, she moved back to Leedey. Mrs. Yeoman was a member of the local Church of Christ. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed tatting, quilting and other types of hand work, also her flowers, her home and her yard work. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands, her brother, Clell Wynn. Survivors include her son and her beloved daughter-in-law, Douglas and Angela Bowman of Chula Vista, California, her grandchildren, Larry Busby of Santa Barbara, California, Dan and Lynette Pumphrey of Lemon Grove, California and Maurice Pumphrey of San Diego, California, her sisters, Genareo White, Leedey, Jean Herndon, Stillwater and her brother, Bailey Wynn of Oklahoma City, her step- son and his wife, Dudley and Mildre Yeoman of Austin, Texas, and three step daughters, her great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Funeral services for Leta Wynn Yeoman were held Saturday, March 28, 1987 at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ of Leedey, Oklahoma with Dwight Parker officiating. Casketbearers were: "Great Nephews of Leta Yeoman" Bill Duke, Bob Duke, Mark Gerreald, Terry Harrel, Joe Wynn and Pete Wynn. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery, Leedey, Oklahoma.
