Obit for Mr. and Mrs. W.H. York

Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. W.H. York were held on October 31, 1963 at Durham
community building with Sanford Cole, minister, Canadian, Texas, officiating.

Willie Hobart York was born September 22, 1896 in Hillsboro, Texas and Jessie 
Elmira York was born May 2, 1899 in Dodge Center, Minnesota.  They came to the 
Crawford community from Elk City in 1930.  In the fall of 1939 they moved to 
the Durham community.

They were married April 15, 1916 at Sayre and were member of the Durham Baptist
church.

They were survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Shipp, Saudia Arabla; Mrs. Enda 
Hicks, Hayward, California; Mrs. Othella Selby, Nevada, Missouri; and Mrs. Doris 
Hatley, Miami; also five sons, Wesley of Pampa, Texas; Oran of Muskogee; Carol of 
Union City, California; Donnie and Phil of Durham.  Mr. York has two sisters, 
Mrs. Blanche Harlson, Sayre andc Mrs. M.E. Foster, Dalhart, Texas; two brothers 
Ernest of California and Claude of Levelland, Texas.  Mrs. York had a twin sister, 
Mrs. Ray Harkins of Sayre; three brothers, Ben Moulton of Battle Creek, Michigan,
Shirley Moulton of Grimes and Arch Moulton of New York State. 

Burial was at the Fairview cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under 
the direction of Scroggins and Son Funeral home, Cheyenne.
