Obit for Arthur Nelson Zimms

Arthur Nelson Zimms was born to Henry and Martha Zimms on July 14, 1891, in Emilene, 
Iowa and departed this life at the age of 77 years , 8 months and 11 days, at his home 
in Hammon, Oklahoma.

At the age of 5 years he moved with his father, brorthers and sisters to Hennessey, 
Oklahoma.

He later moved to Moorewood where he made his home until 1956 when he retired and
moved to Hammon, Oklahoma where he resided.

He was marriged to Mable Higgins, at Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma on 
February 24, 1913.  To this union were born 7 children.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Mable of the home, one daughter Ruth 
Quattlebaum, of Leedey, Oklahoma.  Three sons, Floyd and Elvin of Hammon, 
Oklahoma, and Elmber of Santa Paula, California, 9 grandchildren and 9 great 
grandchildren, one sister, Dora Woods, of Aberdeen, Washington.  Several nieces and 
nephews, also a host of other relatives and friends.

Those preceding him in death were: his parents, two brotghers, two sisters, and 
three infant children.

He was an active member of the Moorewood Baptist Church until his health failed.
