"Don" Donald, 88, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007, in Claremore, OK. He was born in Sand Creek, OK on September 6, 1919, to Frank and Frankie Armstrong. Married Victoria L. Powell March 31, 1941 in Vinita's Church of God. He served 27 months in the Pacific during WWII in the U. S. Marine Corps. He also served 30 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard with the 138th Fighter Group retiring in 1973. Member of the Fisherman's House. Preceded in death by: his parents, 2 sisters, Ester and Eunice; brother, Loren, daughter, Janet Addis. Survived by: his wife, Victoria of the home; son, Don Armstrong and wife, John Ellen of Claremore, OK; grandchildren, Kevin, Dana, Kimberly, and Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Alex, Alisa, Kendall and Matthew, McKinzie and Madeline; sisters, FernCornelius of Blue Jacket, OK, Ludene Coonce of Tyron, OK, Dorothy Lathrop of Springdale, AR, and Gladys Cagle of Mannford, OK; brothers, Lloyd Armstrong of Broken Arrow, OK and Glen Armstrong of Collinsville, OK.
