Burial will be in Wood- lawn Cemetery, under direction of Rice Funeral Service. Mrs. Boucher, 95, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, after a short illness. Born Sept. 5, 1907 in St. Paul Province, New Brunswick, Canada, she married Joseph H. Boucher Sept. 14, 1936 in Moncton Province, New Brunswick. They operated bakeries in Canada. Tired of "shoveling show from the drive and coal into the furnace," and suffering from a sinus condition, they started south. It was on a stop in Tulsa with friends that brought them down Route 66 to visit Claremore. They saw the Kurl's Kourt Motel (present location of Kissee Ford) for sale and Claremore and Kurl's Kourt became their home. Except for a few years in Massachusetts where they had relatives, Mrs. Boucher lived in Claremore. After her husband's death Sept. 21, 1991, she continued to live independently in a tiny little house on the city's east side. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jack "Butch" Boucher, who died in 1992, and a grandson, Danny Bue, who died in 1990. She was the last surviving of seven siblings. Survivors are her daughter, Jan Bue Hamm of Haskell, six grandchildren and 10 grandchildren with another one expected soon. The family suggests memorial donations to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 92, Claremore, OK 74018. ************************************************************************* Transcribed from the Claremore Progess Newspaper, we sincerely thank them for allowing us to post these obits on the Rogers Co., OK USGenwebpages http://www.claremoreprogress.com/ copyright c 2002-2003, by webmaster Rogers Co.
