Cal Brock

Services for Cal Brock of Miller Ridge Community and a former Claremore 
resident will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at Akins Baptist Church, 
northeast of Sallisaw. Burial follows at Akins Cemetery. Pallbearers will 
be Barry Amos, Kevin Clement, Jerry Barrera, Gary Don Lattimore, Jerry Don 
Lessley and Ted Fine.

Viewing will be until 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Agent Funeral 
Home in Sallisaw.

Cal passed this life on Sunday, March 9, 2003 in Ft. Smith, Ark. He was 69.

Cal was born Jan. 24, 1934 in Medford, Ore., the son of John Brock and Anna 
Mears Brock. He was married to Emma Sue Amos on Jan. 11, 1957 in Tulsa. He 
was an Army veteran of the Korean war, a former car salesman at Hastings 
Motor Company in Sallisaw, cattle rancher and a Baptist. He enjoyed fishing, 
golfing and was a former league bowler. In his later years, Cal enjoyed 
spending time with his grandchildren and watching their activities. He also 
enjoyed all the get-togethers and celebrations out on Miller Ridge. 

Those he leaves to mourn his passing include his wife, Emma Sue of the home; 
daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Kevin Ballinger of Sallisaw and Betty 
Ann and Tony Demaree of Akins Community; sons and daughter-in-law, Rick 
Brock of Sallisaw and Jerry and Traci Brock of Miller Ridge Community; 
grandchildren, Tara Ballinger, Chanda Brock, Ti Brock, Brooke Ballinger, 
Brock Demaree, Grant Demaree, Jered Brock and Seth Brock; sister, Georgia 
Maine of Clovis, Calif.; brothers, Jim Brock of Sisters, Ore., and Bob 
Brock of Renton, Wash.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other 
relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Brock; sister, 
Mary Nichols and an infant son.

Services are under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
