She was 78 years, 3 months and 28 days old. She was born July 14, 1924, in Old Eucha, Okla., to Rev. Lee and Lydia Coleman O'Field. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002 at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Claremore. Interment follows at Round Springs Cemetery in Eucha, Okla. Martha served her country in World War II as a Cherokee Code Talker and semiprofessional baseball player. Martha and Taylor Bark were married in April of 1955 and lived in the Claremore area since 1957. A lifelong humanist, Martha helped establish a diabetic clinic, volunteered for Good Samaritans and Women's Shelter and was a missionary in Tucson, Houston and Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Bark of Claremore, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her sons, Stephen Bark of Claremore and Michael Bark of Catoosa daughters, Winona Ann Bark and Catherine Bark, both of Norman three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
