Castleberry died on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 in Okmulgee, Okla. She was 69. Lennie was born Thursday, Aug. 18, 1932 in Owalla, Okla., to Oliver W. and Lena L. (Mead) Raley. On Feb. 25, 1955 she married James W. (Bill) Castleberry in Claremore. Mrs. Castleberry was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, where she had served as treasurer and, at the time of her death, was serving as the chaplain of the group. She was preceded in death by her son, SFC Terry Castleberry; parents; sisters, Ollie Brown and Nora Cox; and brother, Delbert Raley. Survivors include her husband James W. (Bill) Castleberry of Okmulgee; daughter, Janet Willey of Okmulgee; sisters, Dora Whitlinger, Zora Mae Casey and Dorothy Roberts, all of Claremore, Pauline Valk of Eagle Point, Ore., and Leona Burns of Turlock, Calif.; five grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2002 at the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Pastor George Legrand officiating. Interment will be at the Beggs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Scott, Billy Byrd, Billy Hartgrave, Jerry Hollison, Bobby Johnson and Greg Mills.
