Nelda was born Aug. 31, 1930 in Hollis to Alfred and Media (Donaldson) Nesmith. She was reared and educated in Guymon and graduated with the Guymon High School Class of 1948. During her high school years, she played basketball on the girls team. She was married June 5, 1948 in Borger, Texas to Robert Campbell. She spent most of her working life as an office manager with Stanfield Office Supply in Guymon. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes, including cooking and sewing. As with most grandparents, she was particularly fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Robert of the home; sons, Bob and wife Frankie Campbell of Claremore, Randy and wife Sandy Campbell of Junction City, Kan., and Ryan and wife Lisa of Jenks, Okla.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Butch Nesmith of Stockton, Calif.; sisters, Kathryn and husband Roy Cassidy and Jamie Sue and husband Jim Hughes, all of Stockton, Calif., and Yvonne and husband Winfred Reed of Susanville, Calif.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2002 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor David Priest serving as officiating minister. Serving as casket bearers will be Ryan Campbell, Bob Campbell, Randy Campbell, Mike Campbell, Danny Campbell, Seth Campbell and Archie Cole Jr. Committal services and interment will immediately follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Heart Association.
