Interment will follow at Spavinaw Cemetery, beside her beloved husband, Gordon Cantrell. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Langley Turner Funeral Chapel. Mildred went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 27, 2003. She was 74. Mildred Deloris Cantrell was born April 7, 1929 to Marion and Nellie Wilson in Mulhall. Mildred, or "Millie" as everyone called her, enjoyed embroidery, flea markets, antiquing, flower gardening, her family and travel, no matter where. Her family has wonderful memories of this gracious lady, some funny and some not so funny, but all of them precious, just the same. Her children, Cathy, Portia, Randy and Carol remember well the flyswatter - Randy said she could swat you for a half mile. Her grandchildren, unable to distinguish between two grandmas living so close, called Millie the "Grandma up the road." Millie was strong in character, with a heart as big and deep as the ocean. She never had anything bad to say about anyone. She always pointed out the good in everyone. She has left an empty spot in everyone's hearts and she will be missed always. She is survived by three daughters, Cathy Villa of Strang, Portia Vanhorn of Pryor and Carol Hilker of Catoosa, son, Randy Cantrell of Strang, three grandsons that she raised as her own, Shawn, Shane and Shannon Mowrey, 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four sisters, Wilma Woods, Florence Catt, Thelma Hooper and Marion Dunham. and one brother, Vincent Wilson. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gordon Cantrell, two sons and one daughter, Katie Cantrell Moore, Alvin Lynn and Earl Lee Cantrell, four brothers and three sisters, Glen, Earnest, Homer, Arthur, Ruby, Opal and Ora Wilson. ************************************************************************* Transcribed from the Claremore Progess Newspaper, we sincerely thank them for allowing us to post these obits on the Rogers Co., OK USGenwebpages http://www.claremoreprogress.com/ copyright c 2002-2003, by webmaster Rogers Co.
