Ira Howard Carter

Services for lifetime Rogers County resident Ira Howard Carter will be 2 p.m. 
Monday, Dec. 9, 2002 at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial will 
follow in Chelsea Cemetery.

Howard passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 at Green Park Nursing Home in Tulsa. 
He was 72 years old.

The son of Jake and Clara Bue Carter was born Feb. 8, 1930 in Rogers County. 

He attended Bushyhead school. Howard was a rancher and an oil well pumper on 
local oil leases. He was an active member of Bethel Chapel and enjoyed time 
spent with his family and most especially his nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wayne Carter.

Family members who survive are his brother Harold and wife Jane Carter of 
Claremore; sister-in-law Loretta Carter of Claremore; and nephews, Rod, 
Kenny, and Wes Carter of Foyil.
