Harmon Brickey, Marjorie was reared and educated in Claremore. After graduating from Claremore High School at the age of 15, she went on to the University of Tulsa, where she obtained a degree in music. She used this talent giving piano lessons and playing accompaniment for silent movies at Claremore's movie theater. Marjorie married Oral Bond and they became the parents of beloved daughter, Barbara Jeanette. Through the years, Claremore was home for Marjorie. She worked as a secretary at American Airlines and served on the Rations Board in Rogers County during World War II. She later married Gordan Bertrand "Bert" Crump. Claremore was their home during their lives together. Marjorie was a member of First Christian Church and taught Sunday school there. She had a personal relationship with the Lord and felt that He truly was her shepherd. She was cheerful and happy, loved to laugh and dance and dressed in snappy, colorful clothing that reflected her joyful nature. Those who survive Marjorie and who will carry treasured memories of time spent with her include her son-in-law, John Mayberry of Adair; grandsons, Bryan Mayberry and wife, Denise of Claremore and Ben Mayberry and wife, Shelley of Tulsa; great-grandchildren, Hannah Mayberry of Claremore, Emily, Chandler, Matthew and Samuel Mayberry, all of Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Crump and her daughter, Barbara Mayberry, who passed away in 1987. ************************************************************************* Transcribed from the Claremore Progess Newspaper, we sincerely thank them for allowing us to post these obits on the Rogers Co., OK USGenwebpages http://www.claremoreprogress.com/ copyright c 2002-2003, by webmaster Rogers Co.
