She was 83. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002 at the North Chouteau City Cemetery with rev. Chester Webster officiating. Services and arrangements were under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home and Crematory of Wagoner. Leona was born to Earnest and Rose (Martin) Ragsdale in Rogers, Ark., on Sept. 7, 1919. She moved to Wagoner from Claremore in 1976. Leona worked as a Nurse's Aide for more than 10 years at Ross Nursing Home in Wagoner, and later with the elderly as a provider. She enjoyed fishing and playing bingo with friends at the IOOF Lodge every Saturday night. Leona was a loving mother, grandmother and friend that will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Rose Ragsdale; husband, Aud Chronister; and granddaughter, Regina Chronister.
