All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Holy Cross Cemetery--Avondale AZ Clark, Charles Ray Charles Ray Clark, 74, of Phoenix, Az, went to be with the love of his life, Olga, on December 19, 2006. Charles was born on December 10, 1932 in Chelsea, Oklahoma. In 1952 he joined the U.S. Navy, and was stationed in Long Beach, California where he met Olga on a blind date in 1954. He followed her to Arizona and they were married on April 22, 1955, and were blessed with three daughters. After Charles left the Navy in 1956 he went to work for Mountain Bell, which later became US West. After 30 years of service he retired as a Construction Manager. Charles loved his family and we will miss him more than words can say. He enjoyed going to Rocky Point and watching his grandchildren having fun in the big pool (the ocean). Tata Chuck was best loved for all the great food he cooked for his family, especially his menudo. He loved making big dinners and having everyone come to eat. We will miss you Dad. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Olga. He is survived by his loving daughters, Cheryl Arollo, Jane (Johnny) Burson, and Kimberly (Gilbert) Tapia; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Christopher) Gonzales, Jason (Joey) Tapia, Gina (Lucas) Wheeler, Jaclyn Burson and Jimmy Arollo; seven great-grandchildren, Liliana, Alyssa, and Ava Gonzales, Kylee and Dominick Tapia, Deziray Wheeler and Rebecca Gillespie; brother Capt. Donald (Joyce) Clark, USN Retired, Long Beach, Ca.; sister, Nell Fay (Robert) Steely, Tulsa, Ok., and many nieces and nephews. Charles is also survived by the Waddell Family who lovingly took him in as one of their own when he married their sister Olga. Visitation is at 5:00pm, Tuesday, December 26, 2006, with the rosary at 7:00pm at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 59th Ave. and Northern. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at St. Louis the King Catholic Church, 4331 W. Maryland. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, Az.
