Art Dawes

SPEARMAN - Art Dawes, 67, died Monday, Oct. 20, 1997.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Christian Church of 
Spearman with the Rev. George Caudell of Guymon, Okla., officiating. 
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Freewill Baptist Church in 
Guymon with the Rev. Caudell officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst 
Cemetery at Guymon. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of 

Spearman.
Mr. Dawes was born in Chelsea, Okla. He had lived in the Spearman area for 
18 years, moving from Guymon. While living in Guymon, he was an irrigation 
well repairman for Nash Bros. Implement. After moving to Spearman, he was 
a truck driver.

He married Jewell Pride in 1971 at Guymon.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Cliff Dawes of Grapevine; two 
daughters, Robin Rider of Guymon and Marilyn Jones of Toronto, Kan.; two 
stepsons, Harold Zundell of Wichita Falls and Noah Roberson of Aspermont; 
two stepdaughters, Carolyn Shields of Guymon and Judy Lewallen of Canyon; 
two sisters, Jane Teeter of Hobbs, N.M., and Jo Ann Tice of Pampa; two 
brothers, Billy Dawes of Guymon and John Dawes of Pampa; 18 grandchildren; 
and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the American Heart Association.
